Great Software Deal

If you need some great Shareware software for your Mac, look no further than the latest bundle from the guys over at MacHeist. The bundle is amazing and it includes Pixelmator, an awesome graphics program. I plan on picking it up just for that. The bundle will only be good for 9 more days, and only costs $49 (the retail value of all the software is $368).

How Many 5 Year Olds Could You Take

In honor of everyone whose has worked with kids at some point. Here is the definitive survey of how many 5 year olds you could take in a fight. I felt a little wimpy for only being about to take 17. My friends Steven and Rory could both take 30+.

Old CDs and Youth Room Decor

If you’re like me you have a ton a CD laying around that you know you will never use again. Well finally someone has come up with a use for them.

And you can also decorate your Youth Room at the same time.

Fun with Finger Rockets

I volunteer in my Church’s youth group, and last night we had such a great night. I’ve heard a lot of negative talk in youth ministry circles lately about “fun and games” in youth ministry, but I have to say the Finger Rocket war we had last night was a blast. All the kids had such a great time. Even those that usually won’t play games got into it. It was refreshing to see students not afraid to cut loose and just have fun. Sometimes I think we ask our students to be too serious and not be kids, and it was great to see those walls torn down last night.

If you haven’t taken the time lately just to cut loose and play a great game with your students I highly encourage it. Last night was a great reminder to me how important it is to make space for kids to be kids.
