I haven’t been to the movies lately.  The last one I saw was when I took my son to see the Clone Wars last August.  But that’s all going to change in a few months.  I can’t believe the great line up of movies that are coming out in may and through out the summer.  It seemed like most of the had Super Bowl spots.  Here are the ones I really looking forward to:

Not to mention, GI Joe and Harry Potter.

Should be a good movie summer.

I confess, I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. I find the story, characters, and the entire world fascinating. MTV has posted a great interview with JK Rowling with details about her feelings on religion and Harry Potter.

In it she describes her faith as

“The truth is that, like Graham Greene, my faith is sometimes that my faith will return. It’s something I struggle with a lot.”

I found that to be profoundly real. I can see this sentiment in her characters. After years of working with teenagers, I think a lot more of them than we would care to admit also share her feelings. I’ve seen so many students over the years struggle with faith in what they cannot see, and so many of them won’t admit it because they are afraid of what you or other students might think of them. I applaud Ms Rowling for admitting her struggle, I hope she has people in her life that encourage her in her faith. I also hope I can be that encourager in the lives of those that I come in contact with.
